The first production Pendleboard arrived in Mauritius last week and has been used for quality testing, design RnD and also for product shooting prior to the industry product launch in August.

The Pendleboard sample was shown around some of the big brand dealer meetings which come to Mauritius each winter, including RRD and the Neil Pryde group of Imagine, JP and Cabrinha.  There was broadly positive response with some dealers getting very exciting and wanting to order immediately.  Also some of the brand managers were pretty excited about this new development in the sport and expressed they think it will open up the sport to so many more people.

Mat Pendle is pleased with the durability.  “we didn’t expect to have any significant problems as the technologies are well developed – the epoxy tail comes from the surfboard industry; the inflatable nose section is PVC dropstitch and is well known, and the join of the two has been developed in rigid inflatable boats for decades.   It’s as we expected and holds up very well.
