2013
The Pendleboard project was conceived in early 2013.  Mat had been building and using both EPS and inflatable boards since 2010. The advantages and disadvantages of both designs are obvious and the thought to bring the two designs together, to have the best of both worlds was a revelation.

By July 2013 the first prototype was on the water in Mauritius.  With the glue still drying properly, it became obvious the design would be a revolution in the sport.  Everyone who saw it said “thats a great idea!”.  Everyone who rode it said “It surfs much better than I expected”. fr

2014
Inspired, Mat Pendle decided to go forward with full commitment.  By April 2015, Mat had lived 15 moths in China, developing production techniques and sending boards for testing around the world.

In December 2014, a change from shaped fibreglass tails, to moulded tails was made.  This was huge change to the production process, changing factories, methods and pricing.  The change caused set backs to timing, but improved production quality and consistency to a world class standard.  Pendleboards are now produced to the highest quality standards of any board on the market, with a finish to match any brand.

2015
The early period of 2015 saw further improvements to the consistency of joining process of the inflatable front end.  We have eliminated twist and rocker imperfections and achieved a smooth well disguised join of the two ends.  Glueing processes have improved to eliminate micro de-laminations common to most inflatable boards.

March 2015 – Full production up-scaling and distribution network development.

April 2015 – Shipping first samples to dealers and upscaling production for increasing orders.  Join us in the revolution.
